The First Women RI Directors

 
Riveau

 Catherine Noyer-Riveau, of Paris, France, Zone 11; The first woman to be elected to the RI board of directors. 2008/10

 

The second RI woman director 2011/13 is Betsy Demaray, Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie, MI, District 6290. Betsy also served as RI Treasurer for 2012/13 Betsy was an RGHF member.  Deceased 25 January 2013.

AsebolAnn-Britt Asebol is a member of the Swedish Parliament, and the incoming RI Director for 2012-14. MatthewsIn May 2010, Anne Matthews, PDG District 7770, South Carolina, USA, was nominated by RIPE Ray Klinginsmith and elected by the RI Board to serve as the second woman member of The Rotary Foundation  Board of Trustees. In September 2010, Anne was elected by the Zone 33 Nominations Committee to serve as Rotary International as the third woman Director. Anne is from  Zones 33 and 34,  effective July 1, 2012.
