24 years back, when I moved to the small town of Ichalkaranji from Calcutta – I felt lonely as I did not have any friends. But when my acquaintances who were Rotary Members asked me to join Polio March in 1988 – I was hooked for Rotary forever.

I joined Rotary for friendship & meeting new people – service was not a consideration. But once involved, I found it to be a fascinating world of service, Rotary members were like a great family & they made me an integral of that family.

I started taking responsibilities & in the years that followed, we did some good work. We never had a Matching Grant Project but I have done 13 till date! I helped in starting many permanent projects.

I love Rotary Foundation – I love the friends that Rotary has given me – in all parts of world, which would not ever be possible otherwise.

I have tried to repay all that it has given me by donating to TRF & volunteering for community projects. But I know, I will never be able to repay for what I have gained from Rotary. My years as a Rotarian are best part of my life!

Thanks Rotary for all the good changes in me & my family.
