This photograph is of President Gabriel Terra of Uruguay. While in Montevideo in 1935, the Harrises met the President and had a long talk with him. On his return to Chicago, Paul was presented by a representative of the Uruguayan government, with a signed portrait of President Terra. This presentation was made at a meeting of the Chicago Club. The portrait was framed and hung in Paul's office. Research by RGHF member PDG Ian Campbell, Scotland. Submitted by RGHF Senior Historian Basil Lewis, UK. Posted 10 June 2009 by Jack Selway |
