Bergen in Norway in the 1930's

This black and white photograph shows a town with a river running through it. The Clocktower in the foreground is marked "ANO 1761 ". It has been identified by a local Rotarian as Bergen in Norway in the 1930s, and shows the medieval building, the Haakonshallen, and also the Rosenkrantz Tower on the opposite bank. The building on the left is the church, the Nykirken, which had a tower marked ANO 1761. However, it was destroyed during the 2nd world war and has not been rebuilt..
