From the history of the Rotary Club of Nashua:

"Of particular interest in the History of the Rotary Club of Nashua is the day Presidential Candidate, John F Kennedy announced his candidacy on the steps of City Hall, and then proceeded to the Nashua Country Club where he was the Rotary Club's guest speaker."
