"Rotary, shaped by the changes that influenced the course of the 20th century, is now part of the fabric of global society. The story of Rotary is the story of Rotarians; ordinary men and women called to the role of service. If the history of Rotarians’ contributions to Australia and the world can encourage greater 'Service Above Self' and contribute to a wider understanding of the 'Object of Rotary', it should significantly add to an appreciation of why Rotary will be needed more tomorrow than it was yesterday."
