Historians who continue this project

Honorary Member and Senior Global Webmaster for www.districthistory.org  www.regionalhistory.org   and www.11october.org "Rotary Global History Day" Oldham Gregory (Greg) Barlow, joined this project in October of 2003, and was the first supporter from the country of Malaysia. He provided the project with the history of the first club of Malaysia, Seremban.  He has been a member of Rotary eClub London Centenary and the RC Seremban.

Greg lives in Seremban, Malaysia, living in Malaysia under "Second Home Program", (a special retirement visa program for expats designed by the Malaysian Government) ex Australian, retired Chartered Accountant, involved in export/import businesses.

"My love for Rotary is a very short story of only a few enjoyable years but studying the history of Rotary gave me great joy that I wanted to continue after leaving the local Rotary Club.

After settling a 75 year long debate on which was the first Rotary Club of Malaysia and presenting histories of RC Seremban and of our district since its inception, the histories of clubs in other parts of the world prompted me to join RGHF several years ago and now, to join such illustrious Rotarians and historians as Jack Selway, one of Rotary's greater benefactors. I only hope I can be a worthy co-worker to such notable historians.

I am now particularly interested in developing greater representation of non-English language pages in our massive data-base.

Filling in the missing District histories provides great enjoyment and the ability to chat with people from many countries.

Even living in Malaysia, being mono-linguistic is embarrassing, but communicating with Rotarians from Arabic to Chinese languages is even more so.

RGHF offers so many interesting facts and information on Clubs, Districts and personalities within this great organisation.

It is a daily pleasure to work on these projects and to contribute in some small way, to the recorded history of Rotary around the world.
