Scott Allen  - Colorado Springs, Colorado, Rotary Club of Colorado Springs InterQuest - D5470 Southern Colorado

 

Scott is a Real Estate Investor in Southern Colorado in his spare time. He has been a resident of Colorado Springs since father's day 1990. His early years were spent in Illinois, Michigan, and Kansas. He graduated from Washburn University, Topeka, Kansas in 1976 with a Bachelor's of Business Administration degree. He has owned or managed several different types of businesses in his career. Married to his wife Darlene for 27 years they have two children, Brooke 23 working in the film industry and Brady 21 serving in the US ARMY as a combat medic with the 10th Mountain Division.

 

Scott was inducted into the Rotary Club of Topeka Kansas by his father in January 1982. Prior to joining the North Colorado Springs Rotary Club in 1990, he was a member of the Coffeyville Kansas Rotary Club. In April 2002, he was the charter president of the InterQuest Rotary Club one of the world's first afternoon Rotary clubs and the 8th club in Colorado Springs.

 

Scott’s many Rotary accomplishments include heading up District 5470’s matching grants program and being selected District “Rotarian of the Year” twice.  He as served as club president for two clubs, RYLA & Rotary Youth Exchange Committees, Assistant Governor, Lt Governor – International Service and Lt. Governor – Youth Services for his district.

 

Scott and Darlene believe in OUR Rotary Foundation, they are both major donors, all four family members are bequest society members and Multiple Paul Harris Fellows.

 

Scott is an active private pilot, outdoorsman and amateur ham radio operator.
