 TheRotary Club of Dubai was readmitted to Rotary International in March, 2002 after it was originally disbanded on 1 November 1987.
 The club was first formed on 9 June 1978 but political pressure forced its closure just as the club was reaching the pinnacle of its success.
In 1992 however, a group of local business leaders who wanted to embrace the diversity of Dubai's growing population through friendship and service. Our goal is to foster the appreciation of beauty in diversity and service in every community. We welcome all visiting Rotarians and guests to our meetings each Monday at 1:30 at the historic World Trade Center Club.
The Club has presently 114 members and holds its meetings in English.

 The Club sponsored the Rotaract Club of Dubai.
 
 In its short period of existence, the club has created a long list of achievements in community welfare work both within the UAE and internationally including Iraq, Iran, Sudan, Maldives, Palestine, India, Bahrain, Jordan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Lebanon  and Nepal. 
 The Club's patron is His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum
