THE HISTORY OF DISTRICT 3360, Thailand

A Part of Our History of Rotary in Asia

District 3360 is one out of four Rotary districts in Thailand.
Our district service area covers the northern region of the country, from as far as the upper northern most region of Chiangrai province, till the lower part of the northern region of Pitsanulok province.
It presently comprises of 64 clubs and has a total of 1218 members.
The 2005-2006 district governor was Governor Tawee Tapingkae, who was be succeeded by Governor Napon Income in 2006-2007.
The service projects that the district has been actively involved does cover all four avenues of services of Rotary, for instance, the drinking water project, the Rotary Village Corp, the recycle project, the reforestation project, the scholarship providing project and also the active participation in youth exchange, group study exchange and Rotary friendship exchange program.
Under the governorship of Napon Income, District 3360 was planning to launch the check dam installation project in the high ground of Chiangmai province, which upon completion would help contain the flood in Chiangmai to a certain extent.
Internationally, our district is also being designated by Rotary International to represent the organization in extending the Rotary into non-Rotary countries, our neighbouring country of Lao People Democratic Republic as well.
