RI District 3160 was carved out of 3170. It was in 1984 this district was born. This has 11 revenue districts, 7 from Karnataka and 4 from Andhra Pradesh. There are at present 69 clubs with over 1900 Rotarians. 75% of the clubs are in Rural areas. There are no Airports in our District. The area to be covered within the District is wast. Sullurpet, is just 100 KM from Chennai, Bidar is 150 KM from Hyderabad and Chitradurga 200 KM from Bangalore. All the above cities has International airports. So reaching our District not at all problem.

Because of its proximity to the rural areas, the much needed service activities are also to the poor and needy of the villages. Thus the image of Rotary is brought to the villages help enhancing its image.
