THE HISTORY OF DISTRICT 3100

A Part of Our History of Rotary in INDIA

1949-50
District numbered as 52 (By then the district had clubs at Moradabad,
Ambala, Meerut, Patiala and Mussorie)
1956
District re-numbered as 310-Comprising Jammu and Kashmir, West Pakistan, East Punjab, Delhi & former Vindhaya Pradesh-Districts of Rewa, Satna & Shahdol
1968
District 310 comprised Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Former Vindhaya Pradesh and Union Territory of Delhi.
1970
District bifurcated into Districts 310 and 311 (District 310 covering the States of Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Delhi, revenue districts of Dehradun, Saharanpur, Bijnor, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Moradabad and Bulandshahr of Uttar Pradesh, latter two Hill Districts of Uttar Pradesh, Tehri Garhwal and Pauri Garhwal were also included in the territory of District 310.
1976-77
District 310 comprising of 104 clubs bifurcated into district 309 and 310. Our existing District 310 covering Haryana except the Districts of Hissar, Bhiwani, Mohindergarh, Rohtak and Gurgaon. Uttar Pradesh including the districts of Dehradun, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Meerut, Moradabad, Bulandshahr, Pauri Garhwal and Tehri Garhwal. Districts of Shimla, Sirmaur and Solan in Himachal Pradesh, Union Territory of Delhi.
1984
Our District 310 further bifurcated from July 1, 9184 into three Districts No. 308 (comprising of 48 clubs), 310 (comprising of 37 clubs) and 311 (comprising of 39 clubs). Our District 310 comprising 37 clubs in six revenue districts of Meerut. Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Pauri Garhwal, Moradabad and Bulandshahr.
1991
District 310 was renumbered as District 3100
