CLUBS
 
Rotary District is totally unique in the World of Rotary and has reason to be proud -
Our Rotary district covers eleven (11) countries in three different continents, speaking different languages, and having different cultures. We are united under the Rotary theme of "Service Above Self". Our aim is to provide service in our countries and to promote peace and mutual understanding between different cultures.

Our Territory and History
March 11, 1929 witnessed the birth of the Rotary Club of Cairo, Egypt. The first Rotary Club in the Present District, named then "The temporary district of the East of the Mediterranean". Together with the Rotary Clubs of Alexandria (1930), Beirut and Jerusalem (1932), they formed the "District" on July 1st, 1935.
 
Other countries joined our District: Syria (1937 - 1969), Sudan and Cyprus (1938), Jordan (1956) and Bahrain (1965) and Dubai (2001). The district numbering changed several times during the years. It changed from 83 (1935 - 1949), to 89 (1949 - 1970), to 195 (1970 - 1977), to 245 (1977 - 1991) and finally to 2450 since 1991.
 
The district currently includes 150 clubs in 11 countries distributed as shown below.
Armenia - 4 clubs
Bahrain - 3 clubs
Cyprus - 19 clubs
Egypt - 77 clubs
Georgia - 2 clubs
Jordan - 10 clubs
Lebanon - 24 clubs
Palestine - 1 club
South Sudan - 1 club
Sudan - 1 club
Syria - removed from the district 1970
United Arab Emirates - Dubai - 3 clubs
Total 150 clubs

CLUBS
Rotary Club of Heliopolis

Rotary Club of Heliopolis. One of the oldest Rotary Clubs in 2450 the region was founded in May 1954 and then reached the age of fifty-three years , however he is working wisely Senate .. The vigor and enthusiasm of youth. Rotary pioneering abide by the rules and unity and hard work for the community.

The emergence of Rotary Club of Heliopolis.

In May 1954 met 26 members of the Rotary Club Cairo Hotel Heliopolis Palace (seat of the presidency for now) and decided to establish the club and became a member of the Rotary International number 13 387 in October 1954 and the Register as an NGO at the Ministry of Social Affairs under No. 139 of 1967 - and the number of Member when it was created 26-member Rotary year, from 2006 to 2007 became the eighty members.

 

Within the club as stated in the statute when it was created , including the suburb of Heliopolis ( Heliopolis ) and north- east of Cairo ( Amiri - papillary Olive - Olive - rain - Abbasid ) up Railway Lower and Ismailia Canal , and Street Canal midst of the limits of Ramsis Street to the tunnel Abbasid .

 

Rotary Club , founded by the Rotary Club of Heliopolis:

1 - Club Beni Suef established member of the club (m . o) chemical Munir Izz al-Din in 1980 and was its first Chairman.

2 - Club of the Tenth of Ramadan was a member of the club to create Presidential (t . o) chemical Louis Bishara 1989.

3 - Club Nasr City, established by a member of the club year . o Dr. / Farouk substantial in 1989 and became its first Chairman.

4 -  ClubJ Heliopolis / East It was built during the presidency of a member of the club year . o . Hashad Hussein and was the first president on a member of a club . Mohammed Azab year 1995 / 1996 .

Club Heliopolis / cruise It was built during the presidency of R. . Q . Dr. / Peter Ibrahim Shenouda and under the supervision of a member of the club m . Sharaf al-Din Ahmad Zaki was the first President m . s . Zakaria Shafie years 1997 / 1998 .

6 -
Club Sohag established member of the club year . o . d . Ahmose the Kamel Gabriel was celebrated during the presidency of the club member Ahmed Abdel Wahab Saleh years 2000 / 2001 and under the supervision of a member of the club year . Mohsin S. Kandil and became its Chairman.

Clubs Alrutarakt established and supervised by the Rotary Club of Heliopolis ..

1- Rotaract Heliopolis Club member was established by t . o . d . Diaa Seif El-Din in 1972.
2 - The Sun was established by a member of the club year . o . Nabil Alouba 1978. ( position currently active ).
3 - Rutarkat Aviation was established by a member of the club year . o . Mohamed Kamal Althayedi 1984.
