THE HISTORY OF DISTRICT 2310, Norway

A Part of Our History of Rotary in Europe

Rotary District 2310 is the largest of 7 districts in Norway.

It covers Oslo, the municipalities of Asker and Baerum in Akershus and Buskerud County.

The District also has Scandinavia's oldest and largest Rotary Club - Oslo, which was chartered 1  June 1922, and has over 200 members.

The District covers an area of 15,679 square kilometers, while the longest distance between Rotary Clubs is 350 km (Oslo - Collie).  

The district's 60 clubs had 2,598 members of both sexes at the beginning of this Rotary years 2006/2007.  

The most number of clubs are centred in Oslo (25 clubs), Ariel (3), Bærum (8) and Buskerud (24).
