THE eClubs of the World Wide Web

Prepared by the district and not verified by Rotary Global History

The Rotary eClub of Latinoamerica was chartered in Cancun/Mexico, District 4200, on Jan. 27th 2005, and this brings Mexico to the forefront of Rotary in its second century.

RI has a dozen very active eClubs that use the best communication technologies in order to communicate among its members for fellowship and projects, as they strive to contribute toward the object of Rotary.

In order to increase the number of good Rotarians and retain those who for good reasons cannot anymore participate sufficiently locally, RI decided to form the eCubs, and the CoL will look at their experience in its 2010 meeting when the best of their experience will be adopted by RI as they will decide and we'll find out in the improvements included in the MoP published thereafter.

The necessary Enactments have been approved by the District Conferences, so that all is ready, while the Rotary eClubs continue to proactively experiment with all new available technologies.

The Rotary eClub of Latinoamerica is the first and only of the Rotary eClubs in Spanish language.
You might have seen the eClub's attractive and informative stand/booth at the past RI Conventions.

Our eClub was formed in Cancun, with members spreading from the centre of the South Pacific to the Middle East, from several nations in the South of Latin America all the way to several in Mexico, where our District 4200 reaches from the Atlantic to the Pacific.
The latin/Spanish language and culture is our eClub' boundary.
We recently reached 20 members, spread in many nations and several continents and oceans.
Naturally RI has all documentation incl. the charter members' names and lists of all projects
We have club projects and each member has individual projects undertaken in the name of the eClub where the need is greatest.
