The Unity Building, 127 N. Dearborn, Chicago, IL, USA was the office of Gus Loehr, a mining engineer.

It was in his office, in Room 711, that Rotary was born, on a cold winter evening,

23 February 1905.

Finally, after nearly 100 years, Paul Harris tells us about the first men of "Rotary."

For many years it was the responsible men and women of ROTARY/One who cared for Room 711. Much of the financial support for the present facility at R.I. Headquarters came from Club #1 members. Learn more about Paul Harris' Rotary Club - ROTARY/One.
